Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all!
Maybe next year we will get a picture of Colton smiling with Santa.

Happy Halloween, Birthday, and Anniversary!

C3 celebrated Halloween, Colton's 2nd Birthday, and our 1 Year Anniversary all in the same weekend. An ex-c0-worker of mine in Florida had plans to come up and stay a night in Greenville. Her plans changed at the last minute, and she had a hotel room at the Hyatt Downtown that was non-refundable. We stayed Halloween night at the Hyatt, had a nice anniversary dinner in our Halloween costumes, then went to a Halloween party at the Hyatt.
We had a low key birthday for Colton this year, no party. We took him to Toy's R Us and let him pick out his own gifts. He literally stood in the Disney Cars aisle for 30 minutes looking at all the Cars, then finally deciding on a car that he already had and a few other matchbox cars. We also got him his own mini Birthday cake that he devoured.

More pictures to come from our trip to Panama City Beach.

Fall for Greenville

C3 spent the day Downtown Greenville for "Fall for Greenville". Colton loved the bubble guy; Casey and I loved the Chili Cook-off. Then we headed to the playground for a bit. It was a perfect day spent as a family!

I'm Back! Now it's time to post 4 Months of Pictures! Yikes!

Well i realize i have been slack on posting pictures, and i will try not to wait another 4 months again. Sorry to those who check my blog often for updates on C3's adventures.
Above are pictures from SC's Upstate Fair. We had a great time. Colton went on his first fair ride, saw the farm animals, and a classic car show. Not to mention lots of good people watching.

C3 at the Park

Cars!

Colton is OBSESSED with the Disney movie Cars. The first thing he says when he wakes up in the morning is Cars? Then first thing he says when we pick him up from daycare is Cars? The only thing allowed to be on the TV while he is awake is Cars! His favorite toys are his Cars and they have to be near by at all times. He sleeps with them, bathes with them, and plays with them 24/7.

The Beacon

Last weekend C3 went to The Beacon in Spartanburg, SC. Numerous people at work have said to me " you have never been to The Beacon?!?! You have to go there!" So we went...... and was not impressed.....
I was picturing the best burger in the world from the rave reviews i have gotten from my co-workers. All i can say about our visit was that it was an experience for sure.... not necessarily a good experience, but an experience none the less.
When you get there you walk up to a blind guy and you tell him your order and he yells it over his shoulder to the kitchen. Casey got the famous "Chili Cheese A-Plenty", which is a crappy little burger with nasty chili on top, covered with fries ( can't really do them wrong) and gross onion rings with no flavor other than grease.
We can now say that we have been to The Beacon.... and we will never be going back.

Colton's Check Up

Yesterday Colton had his 18 month ( at 20 months) check up. Everything went well, no shots!!! He weighs 29lbs, and is 34 1/2 inches long. Below is a video taken while waiting for the Doctor. At the end of the video you can see Colton "counting" to 5 on his fingers, he is so stinking cute!

Harvest Time!

Tonight we had green beans for dinner, FROM OUR GARDEN!!!

We planted tomatoes, sweet banana peppers, cucumbers, green beans, herbs, squash, blueberries, and sunflowers! So far everything is alive (which has never happened before). Its so exciting to see everything grow and actually eat something from our own yard. Can't wait for the tomatoes and the cucumbers to be ripe now!!!

What are little boys made of?

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.
