"Your Son Has Pinkeye, Please Come and Pick Him Up"

That was the phone call we got from daycare on Monday morning. Casey had to leave work early on Monday to get Colton from daycare and take him to the Doctor. I stayed home with him today. Poor little buddy seems fine, other than some extra eye boogies. So don't let the picture of him above fool you, he was a wild and crazy boy all day long. The picture below better portrays his mood all day. Colton will have been on his meds long enough to go back to daycare tomorrow.

Rain Rain Go Away!

Well the rain did not go away the entire weekend Sasha and Shanna were in town. So we had to make the most of it indoors. I had such a great weekend with my girls. We made cookies, watched chick flicks and played with Colton. Saturday we got of of the house to do a little wine tasting at a local winery.
I am so happy that Allegiant Air has such super cheap flights from Florida that my friends were able to come up for a long weekend. We miss you girls!!!!

Missing you already!!!

This past weekend Uncle Sean came to visit. It was so good to see him. While he was here we tried to show him around town. Casey took him to Cesars Head State Park and they went golfing. We went to down town Greenville one night to get Sushi and experience the night life. The rest of the time he was here we hung out at the house, cooked out on the grill, and played some bags!!! We had a great time hanging out with him and so happy he was able to visit. We hope that Alligent Air always has these low rates so all of our friends and family can come and visit us!!

The Biltmore Estate, Asheville N.C.

Today C3 went to The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. We loved it!!! The Biltmore Estate opened its doors in 1895 by the Vanderbilt family. It rained all weekend so we were unable to see much of the grounds and gardens, but taking a tour of the inside was just beautiful. The construction and attention to detail was unlike anything you see in construction now.
Casey and I want to go back when the weather is a bit nicer... and when we can find a baby sitter for Colton. He was a good boy, however the Biltmore is not very stroller friendly. We ended up holding Colton and having to carry his stroller up and down stairs half of the trip. It was just over an hour drive, so i think we will make a trip again in the fall to see it at a different time of year.

McPherson Park, Greenville S.C.

Last weekend C3 took advantage of the perfect 70 degree weather and went to McPherson Park in Greenville. Not only did it have a play ground for Colton, it had a 18 hole miniature golf course for Casey!! Both of my boys were happy. The golf course was free, all you have to do is bring your own putter and golf balls. We had a great time being outdoors and enjoying the great weather. Can't wait to bring Colton back when he is older so he can enjoy the golf too!!

Toy Box

Colton now knows how to get into his toy box all by himself. He likes
to sit on top of his toys or throw them overboard. However he has not
quite figured how to get out on his own.

Spring is here to stay!

The weather has changed drastically in the last week. Monday we woke up to 3 inches of snow, and now Saturday is here and we are waking up to weather in the mid 70's!!!! Today C3 walked around the yard and looked at the different flowers that are sprouting up everywhere. Colton loves being outside and exploring everything. We walked to the YMCA soccer fields and watched little kids play soccer for a while. Its going to be a good weekend hanging out at the house playing in the yard. We will try and soak in all the sunshine possible, its forcasted to rain all this coming week.

It's Snowing!!! Again!!!!

We had another snow storm this last weekend. Saturday and Sunday it rained all day, and on Sunday afternoon the temp started to drop and we started to see snow flakes!!! It snowed through the night and we woke up to 3inches of snow covering everything!!! South Carolina is not use to this kind of snow since it only happens once a year. No snow plows and no salting trucks out first thing in the morning to get the roads drivable. The town shut down, schools were closed, Colton's day care was closed, offices were closed, and some roads were closed as well. However my office which is 45 mins away was still open. So at 6:50am i left the house and drove 20 mph to get to my office. I made it safe and sound but was wondering if being late or even going in at all on my second week of work was really worth the drive, it was a bit scary. Casey stayed home with Colton and they had a fun day playing inside all day long. Both of them were fighting a little bit of a cold, so i think it was good that they both relaxed at home for the day.

Eating with a Spoon.

Colton is now "eating" with a spoon. At his 15 month check up last month the DR. said that we should start letting him feed himself with a spoon. He tried dipping his spoon in his apple sauce a few times and brought it to his mouth upside down... however he found it easier to just hold his spoon in one hand and grab the apple sauce with his other hand and feed himself that way. We have tried it a few more times and with each time he actually uses the spoon a few more times before switching to the hand in apple sauce directly to mouth method. He is always covered in his food after eating, but loves bath time directly after.
