Colton's Check Up

Yesterday Colton had his 18 month ( at 20 months) check up. Everything went well, no shots!!! He weighs 29lbs, and is 34 1/2 inches long. Below is a video taken while waiting for the Doctor. At the end of the video you can see Colton "counting" to 5 on his fingers, he is so stinking cute!

Harvest Time!

Tonight we had green beans for dinner, FROM OUR GARDEN!!!

We planted tomatoes, sweet banana peppers, cucumbers, green beans, herbs, squash, blueberries, and sunflowers! So far everything is alive (which has never happened before). Its so exciting to see everything grow and actually eat something from our own yard. Can't wait for the tomatoes and the cucumbers to be ripe now!!!

What are little boys made of?

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

Happy Fathers Day!

This fathers day Colton wanted to make his Dada a card. He worked very hard on making it just right with the perfect color combination.
I wanted to share with all; this is Colton's first piece of art work. ( other than smearing ketchup all over his highchair tray)

Watch Out!!!

Colton just realized that he can climb into his Highchair all my himself!!! I was able to get video of him in the act, and he put on a little show for the camera looking too cute for words. (don't worry, Casey was just off camera if Colton needed some assistance while climbing)

A Day At The Lake

A few weekends ago C3 went to the "beach". Coming from Florida we need to remember that if you tell people here in South Carolina that we went to the beach, they think we drove hours to the ocean. C3 went to the lake, which was only a 30 min drive. Colton loves splashing in the water and playing in the sand. It was a fun day for all.... and Colton always sleeps very well after a day at the lake/beach. I think we may check out another local lake this coming weekend.

Blog of Note- Sidewalk Shoes

So almost all of the Blogs i follow are people i actually know, however i came across a blog that i enjoy and check on a regular basis, and it belongs to a complete stranger. One of her postings a while ago was about using your Herbs. So i wanted to send a "shout out" to Sidewalk Shoes
For the first time in my life my Herb Garden is still alive. The few times that i have tried growing them in Florida they lasted for a few days. Not only are my herbs still alive, they have actually grown quite a bit and are starting to take over the flower bed! Thanks to Sidewalk Shoes, i took her advise and put my herbs in water over my sink, so that are always at my finger tips for cooking.

Brunswick, GA- Memorial Day Weekend

C3 went to Brunswick Georgia for Memorial Day Weekend to visit Nene and Papa. We enjoyed our relaxing weekend playing Dominoes, playing at the beach, golfing, swimming in the kiddie pool, and just hanging out at the boat.

When we all get together we normally have a photo contest, at the end of the vacation every family submits their 5 photos for the contest and we have a secret vote..... we have never actually submitted our photos for the voting. Above are the photos i would have submitted for the voting. Since I'm the only family member that has submitted photos, i guess i win by default!
