Village Creek State Park- Arkansas

For Memorial Day Weekend C3 went camping with Nene and Papa. It was our first time camping in Arkansas. We had a great time and thought Village Creek State Park was very nice.

They had a playground for buddy! Always a plus!

Fishing for the family. Side note- Colton's fishing pole did not make it back to the dock, it is somewhere at the bottom of this lake :(

Fun times with Nene and Papa.

Movie night at campsite A.

Dutch Oven cooking!

A lake for Colton to "swim".

"Ladies and Gentleman here's Colton" State for a dance party in the woods!

And lots of outdoor activities to keep crazy Colton busy!

Overall we would give this park 7 1/2 stars out of 10.

There are three things we did not like about the state park.

1. BUGS BUGS and more BUGS

2. The bathrooms were not cleaned on a regular basis

3. Lots of traffic on campsite B- there is free beach access near where we were staying and a lot of local families and teens came to the beach. Many drove by way too fast to get the beach.

Oh Give Me A Home....

Where the buffalo roam......
Have to get in some Harvest Longboard shots!

Casey had to fix our flat tire :(

Happy Face!

Sad Face!

Cross Face!

About an hour north of our home is Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. We drove through 39,000 acres and saw hundreds of bison! Other than the flat tire while in the preserve and the flat tire we got when we got home, it was a good day.

Colton however was a bit disappointed when we got to the buffalo. Here is what Colton said when we saw our first buffalo.

Colton: Oh no no no mommy. I want to pop them.

Mommy: Pop them?

Colton: Yes mommy, where are the bubble-o's?

Mommy: Buddy, we are here to see these big buffalo's not bubble-o's.

I can only imagine what he was thinking the entire car ride up to see the bubble-o's.

I'm Back!

It has been way too long since my last post. Many changes have taken place since my last post.

1.WE MOVED TO TULSA OKLAHOMA!!

2. My computer crashed ( hence the lack of posts/pictures)

This weekend we went to a Tulsa Drillers Baseball game. Our neighbor/friend sang the National Anthem. She did such a great job. There is no way I would have been able to do what she did, I would have been too nervous and I can't sing.
