Elijah Clark State Park

Elijah Clark State Park looks like a good park to camp at, we only spent a few hours here today, however we may be putting it on our list to actally camp. There seemed to be a lot to do for our family. Nice playgrounds, putput golf, nature hikes, and lots of waterfront campsites. We drove through on a Sunday, so almost all of the campsites were empty. There were many large drive through sites, and a lot of small sites too. We will have to get there early on get a good spot.

Mistletoe State Park

We did not camp at this campground. We drove to check out the campsites that over looked the water. We also drove by the cabins.
Casey has decided that he wants to stay in one of their log cabins. They were up on a hill, over looking the lake.

We also hiked on the rubber path. The trees were so tall and the forest was very pretty with the leaves starting to change.

I'm not sure if we will actually come back her to camp, unless we stay in one of the log cabins. The campsite was nice and it looked clean, however there was nothing else do other than hike and with Colton we can only hike so far.

Tugaloo State Park

Last weekend C3 spent the weekend at Tugaloo State Park. It was a nice camp with many lake front campsites. Ours was not lakefront, however friends of ours were also camping there this weekend, and they had a waterfront site. The actual campsites seemed a bit close to one another and we felt that we were right on top of other campers. Luckily our neighbors all had young children and dogs too! This campsite has cable hookup, so on Saturday all seemed to be watching the Georgia Football Game. We did not bring a TV! While at the park, we walked part of the 3.6 mile trail that circled the park. We also spent some time at the playground. The bathrooms were cleanish. We had a good time and were glad we camped there, it is only an hour drive from our house. We were at Campsite #84- Right next to one of the "comfort stations" . Visiting our friends, Kayla and Jonathan. They were at campsite #68, waterfront. Tocca Falls- about a 20 minute drive from Tugaloo State Park, it was so pretty and a very easy walk. There is a fee to view the falls; $1 for adults, Colton was free! Kayla and Jonathan

Fall Festivals!

Last weekend C3 went to two fall festivals in the Upstate! Fall for Greenville and The Pumpkin Festival. I was excited about the festivals, however both were a bust.

2 year old + large crowds + stroller = a big mistake!

However I managed to get a few cute pictures of Colton.

2 New Recipes

Last weekend with Shanna and Tyler visiting, i had the challenge of coming up with a non-meat/fish dish. I quickly remembered a sample of fish i had had at Publix. I wanted to share this Potato-Crusted Fish with my 11 followers, because it was that good! One of the ingredients in the fish above is Buttermilk. I only used a 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk, what to do with the rest? BUTTERMILK PANCAKES! These too were yummy and my first Martha Stewart recipe. I did not add blueberries to mine. Enjoy!
